In the end, I found out that the latest/newest Radeon drivers do not support the older Apple Radeon 2600XT graphics cards, so I was forced to remove the older Radeon 2600XT graphics cards from the system (so the newest/latest Radeon Catalyst Drivers would work). I was then able to boot directly into Windows 8.1 Pro, and the AMD Catalyst software and AMD Catalyst Drivers worked perfectly with the R9 290 graphics card (in Windows 8.1 Pro).The only problem is that the is not supported in OS X, and now I can't boot directly into OS X because the Apple OS X graphics card drivers are missing and don't exist.
